A Day in the Covid Life

Covid or not, a day in life can be hectic, probably like today. As people go about with their daily business, you cannot help comparing yourselves with tiny blood cells moving around in the labyrinth of arteries that keep life as we know pulsating.

Each morning, you wake up to beat the day. You get to the office. You concentrate on getting things done, one after another after another until you realise how eight hours fly by in the wink of an eye. You hit the gym, run a few laps in the park or go swimming, whichever one that fits your late afternoon mood.

Then comes the night, quiet and lonesome. Staring at the ceiling, hands behind your head, you contemplate on the routineness of life, on the meaning of exercises, food, love, sex, religion, people and anything in between. Sometimes it feels like “That’s it?” Sometimes you wonder what the future has in store for you.

Sometimes, your wandering mind keeps on thinking the thoughts, so much so that you are now dying to get out of the house and mingle. Too bad! Covid restriction is on, essential travel only.

Anyhow, It is bedtime. Let’s get a good sleep for tomorrow and leave this whole contemplation stuff till later.

Goodnight!
